I've been wanting to shoot the Warthog since a neighbor told us she had a gun. When we asked what kind she said, "I don't know". Mike got all gushy about how awesome it was and said he'd buy it on the spot. I think he blew the sale by talking about how great it was, but that's a conversation for another time.
We finally got Wayne (a figure we were beginning to believe was related to the Loch Ness Monster, Yeti, Bigfoot, and good South Florida drivers) to come to the range with his bag of goodies. There was a Warthog inside!
I really don't have much more to say because the Warthog was everything I expected from a subcompact double stack 1911. The name is appropriate because it's a short, fat, angry weapon. The kick and noise were both far less than expected. My only complaint is that the rounds all went exactly where I pointed and I really don't need a gun to make me see how bad I am.
A great gun to shoot - I just can't see myself carrying cocked and locked at all times. But I'll shoot it at the range any time.
