Brought home a new toy today. A Ruger SR22
Came with two mags, each with a pinky extension and two flush caps, a suppresor ready threaded barrel (for a .22?), a barrel cap for if you want to remove the threaded barrel cap, a barrel lock, and a soft case. I found almost nothing but great reviews online; most saying they had fired thousands of round without any failures. One guy said he went through 700 rounds right out of the box with no cleaning.
So far it is really comfortable to hold, points well, and is very small and light. I actually tucked it in my waist band and was easily concealed under just a 'wifebeater'. The trigger pull and reset are long in double action, but the trigger break is clean.
It has plenty of safety features with a thumb safety (also acts as a decocker) and a magazine disconnect safety. These are great being that I got it to start teaching my nephew about gun safety and how to handle a gun properly (and maybe a little fun for myself).
Ruger SR22 and magazine with pinky extension.
and for some perspective:
Ruger SR22 next to full size M&P9.
Pembroke tomorrow at 6pm. Gonna break it in.
Will update with some range info on how it performed soon.
