I'm sure you all remember the picture of Paul Ali Slater, everyone's favorite home invader.
As a quick reminder, Slater broke into a Loganville, Georgia home back in January. Inside, a 37-year-old woman and her children. The woman grabbed the family revolver and fled to a crawlspace where she called her husband.
When Slater found the woman... well, you know about a mama bear and her cubs. "Shoot him, shoot him again," her husband told his wife, while he was also on the phone with a 911 dispatcher. The woman fired all six shots, striking Slater with five rounds. He fled the scene but was apprehended nearby with potentially life threatening wounds.
Tuesday Slater plead guilty to burglary charges and was sentenced by a Walton County judge to 20 years, with 10 to serve. Aggravated assault charges against him were dropped as part of a plea deal.
