The Gallup poll shows women are buying more guns than ever before, up from 13% in 2005 to 23% in 2011. While the country is a great debate fueled over politics and hysteria not everyone is buying the hype buy going the opposite way and buying a gun. The market has responded with trendy colors and guns that fit a woman’s size and shape.
A personal opinion is I am all for it, with more woman out there wanting to shoot and owning a gun it breaks the negative stereo type of a man dominated world and brings more voters to the other side.
From the article:
Shooting gives us a sense of equality, a sense of safety, a sense of being in control of ourselves. That sense of control is empowering, and is something we should seek in other aspects of our life. This, along with the “tough woman” image of shooting guns, gives us a more positive self-image, which is a powerful thing.
