In as clear cut a case of self defense as you can have, concealed carry permit holder Alexey Ermilov shot and killed Ricky Eugene Gaines just before 1p.m. yesterday.

According to the police investigation Gaines used a knife and stabbed Ermilov in an attempted robbery. When Gaines went to stab him again, Ermilov drew his weapon and began firing. Gaines was pronounced dead on the scene.

Ermilov was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.



Apparently, Gaines didn't get the memo that the Russians are hard to kill.
