Pam was home cleaning Friday when she heard a knock on the door. Not expecting anyone, Pam looked out the window; "One was knocking on the door, but there was two in the car. So I thought that was kind of strange, and they looked a little scary," she said.
Then the situation got real, real damned fast. The knocking turned to banging hard enough that Pam went and grabbed one of the family guns. "I don't know why, I never in my life felt like I needed to go get a gun," Pam told reporters.
It's a damned good thing she trusted her instincts at that moment. The man at the door kicked and the door came flying in. "Things came flying everywhere," Pam recalled. "And he saw that I had the gun, and he grabbed the door handle and pulled the door shut. I felt threatened, and I feel like if he would have stepped a foot in, I would have shot him".
Pam immediately called 911 and then her husband. The suspects fled but police are hoping pictures taken from motion sensor trail cams hidden on their property will help police identify, and catch the suspects.
A little woman with a little gun means big trouble for the bad guy, hats off to her. She was ready and stood her ground.
