It’s hard to believe that so many people celebrate the death of a 15 year old but this was not any ordinary kid; for the most part he was a cold and ruthless teen that cared about no one. Demetrius Murphy met the “Right Person” and he will not be playing the Knockout Game anymore. As fate had it Murphy and an accomplice tried to break in to the wrong home and Murphy got capped by the homeowner.
Known for “the knock out game” him and his gang victimized a lot of people but were never convicted due to a lack of witnesses. Murphy and his gang where arrested when they found a 13 year old witness but where released when she failed to show up in court.
The gang was so brash that they too to face book to brag about their victory. Two days later they found one of their victims, Matt Quain and threatened him if he talked. Quain was beating so bad in the first attack he suffered broken bones in his face and jaw.
Murphy’s friend, a 17-year-old man that was with him during the attempted robbery was charged with murder because he was an accomplice to a felony where a person was killed.
Murphy’s grandfather, Paul Furst, was quoted as saying that Murphy was mentally challenged did not deserve to die:
“I believe this is another one of the Trayvon Martin stories where people are getting so gun happy they shoot just on impulse now. I could understand if he was a threat. But on the property, he was not a threat.”
With relatives like grandpa it’s no wonder why the youth crime rate is so high.
