Its Still Controversial To Shoot at Trayvon Martin

Resource: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/apr/14/florida-officer-trayvon-martin-gun-target
Florida police officer Ron King has been fired for using Trayvon Martin targets at a target practice session with 2 other officers and a civilian. Is this in poor taste? Absolutely. Should this man be fired? I am not entirely sure. Unless this is a single instance in some kind of pattern of racial issues and/or poor judgement on officer King's part, I suspect this is probably a knee jerk reaction to quell the press. I am certain there are cops who have done worse that got slaps on the wrist and put back on the job. What do you think? Is this a fireable offense?

a strong union will get him back on. I tried to get some of those targets and the guy that had them on line said he sold the whole lot in two days.

I guess everyone sees it different; as the most used idem is a hoodie in an armed robbery. covers the face from CCTV and makes it hard to ID a BG. as far as I concerned it fair game. trayvon's mother and father are making money hand over fist from the death of their son so why can't anyone else?

How many people have been shot doing something good or bad, has anyone ever said they were holding something and made it a point with the exception of trayvon martin? Not that I can remember. The Medea used this to paint a picture of an innocent young man but was he really innocent or did he attack GZ?
