Facebook Tramples The First Amendment

Resource: http://www.inquisitr.com/629388/ar-15-giveaway-shut-down/
Facebook deleted without any kind of warning or reason Pittsburgh Tactical Firearms fan page. Apparently they decided a giveaway offer for an AR-15 violated their terms of service. Full Story Here

I don't care if you are pro or anti gun. This should upset every American Citizen.because it isn't about the second amendment. its about the first.

As a corporation and not a government entity, Facebook should absolutely have the right to delete whatever they want. I don't put this on them. I put this on Facebook's users. As Facebook has become an everyday medium for communication as much as the telephone was before the internet, how can we allow them to censor what it is we discuss? They aren't censoring it for any other reason than it is unpopular speech. No matter how small the margin is and in this instance it is very small, they have calculated what most people want to hear and are censoring the opposition. If you think unpopular ideas should be censored, then you are anything other than an American.

So someone who was anti-gun might just suggest that pro gun people go somewhere else. So then what? Some conservative site like Facebook sets up shop and doesn't let anyone talk about gay marriage or abortion? Is this what we want? To polarize ourselves so much that we use terms of service to disconnect the lines of communications between those who disagree? The corporations already have too much control of the country. Don't let them start marketing and profiting from a fracture of the First Amendment.

People should write to facebook admins demanding that this type of censorship be stopped. that we don't cherry pick opinions in this country. This is America, not Nazi Germany.
