Family sues the Henderson PD under the 3rd amendment

Resource: http://www.courthousenews.com/2013/07/03/59061.htm
You heard of the 1st and Second and even the Forth but when have you ever heard of the 3rd amendment? Me neither; so we all get a history lesson. Here it is as wiki has it wrote:

The Third Amendment (Amendment III) to the United States Constitution is a part of the United States Bill of Rights. It was introduced on September 5, 1789, and then three quarters of the states ratified this as well as 9 other amendments on December 15, 1791. It prohibits, in peacetime or wartime, the quartering of soldiers in private homes without the owner's consent.
And here is what the family is suing over: Henderson police arrested a family for refusing to let officers use their homes as lookouts for a domestic violence investigation of their neighbors, the family claims in court. The family claims they were abused arrested; the family dog was shot with pepper balls and then thrown in the yard w/o food or water.

When they told the cops they couldn’t use their home the police arrested them on obstruction charges along with other charges that were later dropped. I am going to let you read the rest of the complaint. In this day and age it is amazing that this type of bullshit goes on and the officers involve are still on the job violating someone else’s rights
