Just getting out of jail a man goes after his wife in a revenge fit that cost him his life. Athens Police Officers received a report that Robert Vann Marshall, 34, was irate, suicidal, armed and threatening to kill his wife and children at a hotel so they arrested him.

15 minutes after he was bailed out of jail he made a bee line to his wife’s house but she was ready for him. On the phone will 911 she told the operator he was outside trying to get and that she had to shoot him in self-defense.

"It's a case where domestic violence unfortunately resulted in a loss of life," added Sheriff Guy. "Court orders won't keep every aggressor away, but are a useful deterrent to acts of violence and further enable officers to have knowledge of the situation." O'boy that great, it won't do her any good but it makes the justice system feel warm and fuzzy
