Kendall Green couldn't take no for an answer and finally broke in. The homeowner, USAF Tech Sergeant Matt Pinkerton, shot the intruder as he advanced on Matt. Ultimately, Matt was charged with murder.
The castle doctrine stops bullshit like this so if you don't have it in your state fight for it; it just might save your house and family.
According to one of the people in the house when the shooting occured:
"He (Green) kept coming forward so Matt fired. He rocked backwards and took another step forward at which time Matt took his second shot. He stumbled backwards and fell out the door onto the porch."
"When the shots were fired Jessica called 911. Matt spoke to the operator; he removed the clip from his gun and the bullet in the chamber. Police arrived within five minutes."
The problem is that Assistant State’s Attorney, Glen Neubauer, is a well known gun grabber and has said that Matt's act of grabbing his handgun was "bizarre behavior" in and of itself.
Do you think it's odd to grab a handgun when someone is pounding on your door at 2a.m.?
