DA says it OK to shoot at people as long as the cop makes a 'reasonable mistake' (Cal)

Resource: http://www.dailynews.com/general-news/20140114/police-shooting-at-redondo-beach-man-during-dorner-manhunt-was-reasonable-mistake-da-says
From the “COPs do nothing wrong” file comes the story that the DA cleared a police officer of ramming and shooting at a man on his way surfing because he was driving a PU that looked like Christopher Dorner last year. Can we say CYA and its not going to save you from a costly law suit that the state will pay for with tax dollars

Quoted: Officer Brian McGee acted in “an atmosphere of fear and extreme anticipation” when he purposely rammed David Perdue’s pickup truck and fired at least three shots at him on Feb. 7, 2013, mistakenly believing Dorner was at the wheel. The bullets missed Perdue, who has filed a lawsuit against the city of Torrance.
