Repeat violent felon shot and killed by homeowner (Indiana)

When you tattoo teardrops by your eyes and devil horns on your receding hairline - you start to limit your career options. 30-year-old Donny L. Sturgis had those tattoos and had become something of a professional scumbag.

Sturgill had been arrested by deputies last year for allegedly stabbing a Denver man in the chest and face. He was arrested again in March on charges of domestic battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Saturday night Sturgill forced entry to a Kokomo, Indiana area home. One of the residents heard the noise and grabbed a handgun. After a brief altercation, the homeowner pressed the trigger and ended the altercation.

Devil horn and tear drop tattoos don't stop bullets.

Sturgill died at the scene.
