NOT GUILTY: Father accused of shooting drunk driver who killed his sons acquited

A man on trial for killing the drunk driver that killed his sons has been acquited.

David Barajas, 32, broke down in tears as the ‘not guilty’ verdict was read in an Angleton court Wednesday. "I am relieved but still in pain," Barajas told KTRK during a news conference.

While there seemed to be some compelling evidence that Barajas killed the drunk driver Jose Banda, the gun used in the crime was never found. Barajas said he didn't even own a gun even though he had a holster and ammo for a gun at home.   It's possible sympathy for Barajas by the jury also led to his acquital.

What do you think? Did he get away with murder?  If he did do it, was he justified?  As someone who has a permanent limp thanks to a drunk driver, I have no sympathy for Banda.
