I feel like commenting for or against open carry is unnecessary for the purpose of this story.
The event called Open Carry Guitar Rally was aimed at trying to curtail the desire of gun owners to carry handguns openly in public, mocking rallies held in support of such firearms measures.
I think its a pretty inventive way to protest but I do have one gripe.
The article states that guitar toting protesters came "by the hundreds" - I looked at some photos from last years similar event and saying it was a hundred people would be generous. looked more like 50 to me.
Does anyone have any photos or footage of this years event? Id love to know if it was really that many.
What do you think? Clever protesters or just hippies needing some place to go?
