According to a story on Fox news, The Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (thats a mouthful) has sent letters to gun owners demanding destruction or relinquishment of assault rifles and high capacity magazines deemed illegal under their state laws.
The letter says gun owners are in compliance with the new state law if their items are no longer in Connecticut or were sold to an authorized gun dealer.
Those who fail to comply face charges of possessing an unregistered assault weapon and/or high capacity magazine.
Apparently Connecticut is denying this. Do any easybake members from Connecticut have a copy of this letter that they can scan or photograph and share with the group?
